Overseas Program in Malaysia and Singapore

- Participants: 40 students of 2nd grade students
- Day 1 – Arrived Kuala-Lumpur, Malaysia
Day 2 – Visited Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) and had a group discussion and presentation.
In the afternoon, research-course students went to downtown to have interviews related own research project. MJIIT students attended and supported a “man in the street” interview. Business- course students visited Berjaya Sompo Insurance and had an office tour, lecture about insurance and business, and group discussion.
Day 3 – Some groups had a field work in downtown and the others visited MJIIT as well. In the afternoon, all groups had presentations at MJIIT to wrap up their activities in Malaysia. All students appeared to enjoy the cultural exchange program.
Day 4 – Moved to Singapore by flight. After lunch, Business-course students visited Singapore Indonesian School (SIS) and performed Japanese Tea ceremony. In return, SIS students introduced traditional Indonesian music and its instruments. Research-course students visited Asian Civilizations Museum, Peranakan Museum, and Raffle’s Hotel.
Day 5 – Research-course students had a study tour at New Water Visitor Center and Marina Barrage and learned the problems, efforts and policies on water use in a small country. Business-course students visited Tenet Insurance and had a company tour and group discussion regarding the insurance products. In the afternoon, both courses visited Ministry of Education Language Centre (MOELC). Five groups had group discussion, and each group presented “Joint Declaration”.
Day 6 – Arrived Narita.
