- May 25, 2015
- Mr. Yukihiko Okada, Associate professor of Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineering, University of Tsukuba, gave a lecture on his research theme – the relationship between profitability and business planning for start-up companies. He explained the difference between “getting a job” and “starting a business”. While the former ask you to take the role of operator, the latter requires one to play the role of leader, manager and operator all together. He then emphasized the requirements for good leader, manager, and operator. He also advised students to clarify what you really want to propose and to whom in students’ own projects. Having a hypothesis and developing the business plan based on actual conditions are crucial, he stressed.
